Overview[]
Vampire is one of two races (or "Sub-Specs") (the second race being "Human") in the game, and is required to unlock the Vampirism fighting style. It is commonly used with Boxing and Sword-Style by competitive 1v1s players, due to its powerful bonuses and low downsides.
It is unlocked by using a Stone Mask if you don't already have the Vampire race. Can be used while a Specialty is equipped. Vampire can only be removed by talking to Jesus or eating a Rokakaka Fruit (However, that will get rid of your stand as well). You cannot get Spin or Hamon fighting styles while you are a Vampire.
Passives[]
Passive A - Blood Bar: You have a bar of blood in the top left of your screen which refills about halfway every time you kill a player or NPC, or use a Bottle of Blood. When the bar isn't empty, you get a small damage buff from non-stand melee combat (including Specialty attacks), and hyper-healing (3x regeneration bonus). You also are able to regenerate lost limbs 2x faster.
Passive B - Sunlight Weakness: You take 25% more damage to Hamon, and whenever you go into a non-shaded or non-weather affected area, you start burning and subsequently taking a lot of damage. You can nullify this weakness by holding an Umbrella.
Tips, Tricks, and Trivia[]
The blood bar.
- Vampires used to be unable to use M1s and M2s in sunlight due to having to hold an umbrella, however this was later changed and now vampires can use M1s and M2s even with an umbrella in their hand.
- Because vampirism gives you a small defense buff, competitive players use Boxing along with it. This is called a "Sub-spec." To do it, you must first get boxing, then use the Stone Mask. The passive of the Boxing (Meat Shield) and the passive of the Vampire (Blood Bar,) you are able to tank more damage AND regenerate faster. Boxing-Vamp users have approximately 530 health. However, in player-organised-competitions, many consider this advantage "unfair."
- This is the only race in the game, other than the "human" race, which is the default race.
- Vampires, in the anime and manga, all burn in the sun.
